Topic: leonardo da vinci, leonardo da vinci paintings - Hartnell exhibit aims to inspire others to follow Leonardo da Vinci’s lead (The Salinas Californian)
Hartnell College students and the public, too, might benefit from exploring the life and work of Leonardo da Vinci. It’s why he’s created the beginnings of a permanent da Vinci-centered “Hallway Museum” in the school’s Visual Arts Facility. The idea for a hallway museum has percolated in his thoughts for quarter of a century, he said. Also on display and mounted from the ceiling is a replica of da Vinci’s flying machine with a 9-foot wing span. Graphics and narratives go with the displays and link them across time to the marvel of da Vinci’s genius. Paintings of the ŚMona Lisa’ by third-graders, on display in the “hallway museum” at the Hartnell Community College Visual Arts facility.
