(leonardo da vinci, leonardo da vinci paintings) European Institute of Education participates in Leonardo da Vinci projects (Maltamedia.com Daily News)

The European Institute of Education (eie) participated in various Leonardo da Vinci Projects this summer under the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union. They participated in projects that are meant to help them sharpen their English language skills and also to gain work-experience related to their areas of study. Pablo Dorado Iglesias, a Spanish student in Marketing who was hosted by eie and who is close to successfully complete his internship, said that he can speak about eie from two points of view due to the fact that he was in Malta both as a student and as an intern. I am sure that the time I am spending here will help me a lot in my future; that is why I just can thank everybody at eie for how they have treated me.

Baton Rouge museum: Galileo’s Vision in 21st Century Art (Newsday)- About: leonardo da vinci, leonardo da vinci paintings

It’s part of a project she started 15 years ago, documenting the moon’s position in the sky in a number of ways. The exhibit’s title is the English translation of the book Galileo published in 1610 as “Siderus Nuncius. Weinstein said the most noted is Latvina-born Vija Celmins, who lives in New York and California and is internationally known for intensely realistic images of star-studded nighttime skies, ocean waves and desert floors. New York artist Jonathan Feldschuh graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in physics, then studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague . Because Galileo documented the Copernican observation that the earth moves around the sun, he was tried as a heretic and sentenced to life in prison, changed later to house arrest. Galileo has been called the father of modern observational astronomy, the father of modern physics, the father of science and the father of modern science.

Master Gardener: Fire on the Mountain (MyMotherLode.com)- Topic: leonardo da vinci, leonardo da vinci paintings

When I talk about “Fire on the Mountain,” I don’t mean the hot, destructive kind of fire we all dread every summer in the foothills, but the wild, exciting fall color that lights up the landscape with dappled yellows, brilliant oranges, and fire engine reds in autumn. Although we all love the evergreen trees and shrubs that proliferate throughout the Sierra, wouldn’t it be exciting to have a burst of color in the waning days of the year? They are lush and green in the spring, some flowering in the summer, and all catch fire in the shortening days of September and October. It is best to leave the fallen leaves on the ground for mulch to protect the roots from freezing in the winter. It is well known in the foothills and, though it is mostly loved for the beautiful pink or white flowers it produces in the spring, it also has lovely purplish-red tones in the fall. I even cut the tops off of some and just stuck them in the ground in another part of the garden and they grew!
